that's what i tried to tell momma growing up, but she always spewed some crap about she's doing it out of love and how it hurt her more than it her me, which i still don't get. at least now we have documentation that we have too much wipping going on, about 20 years too late for me though

It's easy to say 'too much' or 'not enough' if you've never been in the saddle. I say leave it to the jocks and trainers to decide.

Lord, Karen you need more to do...
This is the issue that is bound to arise with the new whips." Apparently it is 20-1 for the new vs the old to get the same result. So you have to hit a horse 20x MORE... BUT the whips are padded, regulated and kind. I won't use one. I have my same old baseball bat and one other slightly less thick stick that get the point across with a smack.
Jeepers, take a step back and think about how faw whips and regulations have come. Would you prefer yout horse get hit woth a whop that is "reinforced" or plugged in??? Seriously, whips have come a LONG way.
