2011 2YO watch list

Postby bdw0617 » Fri Jul 15, 2011 2:43 pm

Finale, a really good looking 2YO by scat daddy just won at belmont. looks like a real good turf horse.

I liked scat daddy as a race horse and thought he never got the attention he should have and think he will make a decent sire.

He certainly was much the best this afternoon (and by the way, went off at $1.60 [to one]); BUT, it should be noted that he finished 4th in his previous start (on June 10th, also at Belmont Park)...and today faced four first-time starters, plus two others that finished 5th in their previous starts.

Regardless...the colt did plenty more than what was necessary to win today, so it'll be interesting to see how he handles winners in his next out.

Remember too, he's in the hands of trainer Pletcher, and owned by Magnier/Tabor/Smith; and will certainly be given an opportunity to be the best he can be, whatever that may be.

Best to ya.

You can stick Creative Cause to your list. He just crushed a MSW group at HollyPark for fun in 56.4.. He's a gray son of Giants Causeway and boy is he athletic. This one is the real deal...
