Santa Anita saturday card is 7 hours long

is there any particular reason why the card starts at 10:40am and ends at 5pm? that's a damn job.

They're obviously factoring in betting on the breeders cup and Churchill's 3 hrs ahead timezone. There are 45 minutes between some of the races at Santa Anita, really a long time, but they're offering breeders cup simulcasting and breeders cup party fun (!).

just kinda peeved because i was looking forward to the lure stakes, and internally thinking 'oh wow they start racing at noon here instead of 3' only to realize the 8th doesn't go off until 6:15 my time, and the arknasas / south Carolina game comes on


jsut too long a card IMHO. would have been better off cutting the card to 6-7 races IMHO
