How many "Triple Dead Heat"?

Postby Jorge » Tue Nov 15, 2011 6:24 pm

Came across the following Triple Dead Heat photo:

http://www.tripledeadheat.ca/2010/12/te ... -just.html

where, as you can see, one of the "winners" was a gray Thoroughbred.
I wasn't aware of this Triple dead heat, for I only knew about the very famous Triple Dead Heat shown on many sites.

Can someone identify how many triple dead heat have occurred?

Thank you so much for the valuable reference.

This is the Triple Dead Heat I was referring to. It was the Carter Handicap of 1944:

These were BROWNIE (E. Guerin);
Bossuet (J. Stout); and
Whit A Bit (G.L. Smith)

Any information on the referenced one? Was it for the win or another position?
