Pressday

Postby Swaps1955 » Thu Feb 09, 2012 12:15 pm

I see there's a horse running in Santa Anita's 7th race --6 1/2 furlongs on the turf-- today (2/9/12) named Pressday and he's 5 year old (Sept. 2007 foaling date) 2 year old champion, grade 1 stakes winner from Australia. I also see the information on him in Pedigreequery lists that he was to stand his first season at stud in 2011. John Sadler trains him. Anyone have any information on him? Should be an interesting race today.

interesting. I would think he's a bleeder and that's why he's here. first time lasix most likely.

would not bet him first time out but would look to improve 2nd time out

I thought he might be a bleeder, too, but what I was wondering about was the comment on his pedigree here that he was standing at stud in 2011. Now he's here (if he really was at stud in 2011)!

Wonder if some of our Australian posters could enlighten us on that.

Regardless, it was a remarkable race he ran today.

it was a remarkable race the winner ran too.

No one from the connections to the bettors thought Pressday could lose. But no one told Carbonite that
