I always appreciate you posting these blasts from the past. Hatton was a tremendous journalist and his verbal portraits are without equal. I never saw Kelso in person, but saw him run on TV many times, and he was one gutty guy. The 1964 Woodward with GUN BOW was every bit as good as the AFFIRMED-ALYDAR Belmont Stakes.
