I'll Have Another to NY, Belmont Probables

Postby TJ » Sun May 20, 2012 7:14 am

O'Neill will follow the same pattern...I'll Have Another will be sent to NY ASAP. This guy is a smart trainer...he covers all the bases including having Mario G come to Belmont Park early enough to get a feel for big sandy.
Bodemeister will not run in the Belmont. Baffert will run Paynter instead for Zayat. Here's a list of current probables for The Belmont Stakes:

I’ll Have Another
Union Rags
Optimizer
Paynter
Alpha
Atigun
Dullahan
Five Sixteen
Guyana Star Dweej
Mark Valeski
Rousing Sermon
Stealcase
Street Life

Why O why is Optimizer going to the Belmont?

He was beaten 15 1/2 lengths in the Preakness? Is Lukas expecting a miracle change in his abilities?

On Wednesday, May 2nd, Bill from WA posted his thoughts on the Derby prospects. His choice was Went The Day Well but in parenthesis he put, " I think I'll Have Another might just come back to haunt me". Always want to get into your head, Bill, trying to learn....so what was it about IHA that gained your attention and prompted this response...at the very end of the sentence...almost like an afterthought? Thanks, Bill :P

Who, on the above list, looks the most menacing? Who could spoil the party? For me, perhaps Dullahan, Alpha and Union Rags. No chance Gemologist will show up?

Because, as I suspect you already know, Lucas just likes to have entries in the triple crown races. Just to say he did.

Mark Valeski`

Preakness outcomes have changed the landscape completely...all I could see is a rather brand new list in NY on Jun 9...I dare say for all but one of
the trainers to be there..their role is one of the destructive...all eyes just on one horse.....all with one same prayer.

also, paynter is a very very very very good horse. good enough to be 6 to 1 off one freaking start in the santa anita derby. and ran well.

he's 2 for 3 with the only lost being the SA derby and will love the distance. i think he will be a major player by november defiantly.

Hi Jagger,
Gemologist and El Padrino are both on the sidelines. TJ

Hi Bast,
He isn't a definite starter, but all on this list have the Belmont on their radar. This is the first draft:>) TJ

If Lukas has something with a pulse and registration papers, I'm certain it will run.

Really hoping to hear Bill from WA's take on the Belmont. His conduit mare profile has helped me the most with the longer races....and this is the longest.... .

Hi Bast....I guess you're right. I just wish Lukas would get this horses back on the grass before he breaks him down, that's where he belongs. TJ
