This filly lost her initial start by 4 1/4 lengths to track record setting Teen Pauline on 25 July at the Spa going 5 furlongs. The way this filly ran today she probably could have threatened the 5 1/2 furlong track record herself. She has an RF factor to Gold Digger with Mr. Prospector and Yukon in the pedigree. She could be something special, time will tell.

I was thrilled to watch the race because I bred and raced her dam, SUMMER STAR, before selling her to Wayne Hughes. She was a big, gorgeous mare who had a TON of speed but, unfortunately, inherited her dam's terrible bleeding problem. She was stakes class in California but the humidity kicked in the bleeding, so I sent her to New Mexico (with another bleeder of mine, BANG, who won many stakes races there). The humidity factor dropped from about 70% to 15% so neither one bled again. SUMMER STAR won a 7 furlong stakes race going 1:08 1/5 and 1:22.
So glad to see her filly carrying on where she should have been.
