to sum it up.. Gai had the first draw for the cox plate, chose 11 out of 14. owner is white hot and told the newspaper that she has gone mad and that if the race was not the cox plate he would scratch the horse. Gai basically tells the owner to shut up and let me train my horse.

this would never happen here in today's racing environment. be too scared to lose the horse. and she's right BTW she doesn't like being boxed in and runs better when she's stalking on the outside. If she loses the race it will be beucase she doesn't want to run that far not beucsae of the post position
