Finished last in his Dubai World Cup race today.
I don't know about this horse...he is highly regarded, and yet doesn't really show up on the big days.
11th in the BC Juvenile, 12th in the Derby, 12th in the BC Classic, and then today.
I know, I know, he won the Travers, which was missing the crop's best horses, and deadheated with Golden Ticket, who isn't the most impressive either.
What's the deal?

Hi Cree,
He's always been a quirky sort, especially around the gate. Alpha's best races came in NY.....I know he was under the care of Bobby Duncan in the mornings around the starting gate. Bobby is very good with horses that have gate problems. Every penny Alpha earned was earned in NY. Seven starts in NY with 5 wins and 2 seconds while earning $1,270,000. He raced 5 times outside of NY and didn't earn a penny. TJ
