The 85 point Spiral Stakes will be a good one....should answer some important questions concerning a few name horses. This race was Animal Kingdom's final prep for the Derby. TJ

He is from a fantastic family and that young up and comer Lukas is his trainer he is having a good bit of "luck" lately.
Hi Dub
He's training well....although I've never seen him work....he's at Oaklawn. He's a versatile sort...ran well on turf and all weather. Then won two back on the dirt at Oaklawn before running into Super Ninety Nine in the mud when he romped in the Southwest. He ran a good 4th in that race and finished in front of Will Take Charge who ran 6th. He's worked two nice 5/8ths since the Southwest...3/7, 5f breezing 1:02.00 (3 of 27) and 3/14, 5f breezing 1:01.40 (1 of 10). TJ

Hi Dub,
Pletcher brought his main man, Johnny V in to ride Capo Bastone who I expect to see run OK second time Pletcher...but that may not be as significant since he doesn't have much running at GP Saturday:>) Chad Brown has Normandy's stablemate in the race Balance the Books, Uncaptured has been away with a hoof problem....but he's training super and could be a real threat, Billy Mott has a horse that may fit this race to the T as well. Fear the Kitten is a contender and so is your Lukas horse. Looks like I have to buy the racing form to come up with this one:>) TJ
Lol racing form, stick to Bingo!
There is another meet the same day as this an Napravnik has chosen to go there for Fear the Kitten, so I believe.
I like Bills horse Balance the Books, but isn't he a grass horse?
It will be interesting if he handles the dirt 3 X 3 to Mr P.
By Lemon Drop Kid, a sire I really like.
My trifecta, not that I will be able to bet them
1 Channel Isle
2 Fear the Kitten
3 Balance the Books

I've bet this track before and didn't do well; don't expect to win, but in the spirit of the Derby Fever, I'll Have Another!
~
IMO, the track is the salient factor, that and late kick. I looked for both and to see if any of em' have run over the surface. l like the Harlan's Holiday horse with For Greater Glory and Giant Finish to give him trouble.
Best of racin' luck!
