brisnet pps for derby winners
Does anybody know where I can get the past performances for Ky Derby winners from brisket? Lets say from 2000 - 2012
pps from brisnet
Cree: I am not interested in equibase pps. My objective is to look at brisnet past performances for Derby winners lets say over the last 12 years from2001-2012.
brisnet distance numbers
Here are some interesting numbers found in brisnet for Derby winners listed below:
Derby winner-----------AWD sire-------AWD BMS
I'll Have Another -------7.3-------------7.6
Animal Kingdom--------6.9------------10.4
Super Saver------------7.0-------------8.2
Mine that Bird---------- 6.6--------------7.4
Big Brown---------------7.0-------------7.9
Street Sense------------7.0-------------7.1
Barbaro-----------------8.3-------------6.4
Funny Cide--------------6.3-------------6.6
War Emblem------------6.7-------------7.5
Monarchos--------------7.0-------------7.1
Only one Derby winner in the above 10 had less than 7furlong AWD for both the sire and bms. and that was Funny Cide. For the most part the AWD for the bms must be 7.0 furlongs or longer (8 out of 10 had 7.0 AWD or longer). 6 of the 10 winners had a sire that had an AWD of 7 furlongs or longer.
I know its only a 10 year sample but I would conclude that we would want our Derby contender to have at least 7.0 furlongs AWD on the BMS.
