Derby Points System Needs Updating Following Fl. Oaks

After "oliverstoned's" disappointment over Dreaming of Julia's amazing performance (because she isn't eligible to run back in the Derby)...it made me start to wonder? And this, just when I was starting to think the new Kentucky Derby point system made sense. Then we see Dreaming of Julia's bust out Florida Oaks win overshadow the Florida Derby. It seems this scenario uncovered a fatal flaw in their system. Because of this, I believe the points earned along the way for the 3YO fillies pointing to the Kentucky Oaks should also be allowed to apply to the Kentucky Derby points sytem, if that filly has earned more points then a colt in his derby points category and opts to run....she should be allowed to. That being said, I'm sure we will hear a change in the making in the very near future. This really does need to be addressed when circumstance's unfold as we have just seen yesterday. No reason why Julia shouldn't be allowed to run for the Roses if they want her to. TJ
