wood memorial / santa anita derby

Postby bdw0617 » Sat Apr 06, 2013 3:34 pm

dont' know what to think about the wood. V man ran better than the time nothing he cand o about the slow pace. he got a gut check.

I just don't think he's an "elite" horse. he's a very very good horse. but i dont' think he's curlin / big brown / i'll have another level type race horse. he doesn't have that gear

but this isn't the best 3YO crop ever. but i think i like orb more than i like him

actually much much more impressed with normady invasion. closed into stupidly slow fractions and he was coming like a fright train

if he gets run in the derby there is no way he's not there in it becuase he will have the pace

definitely thought Normandy Invasion was coming like a freight train. Exact same thought. I like Verrazano but hard to believe he won't face some stiff headwinds by the the final half furlong in the Derby. That extra furlong is rough. He's very good, but is he a 10 furlong type? Not sure...
