War Academy?

Postby Bill from WA » Mon Apr 15, 2013 12:45 pm

Has anyone heard what happened to War Academy? Mike Smith eased him and he walked off the track under his own power, and no comment (since then) as to why Smith took him out of the race. He was well placed on the backstretch run and then eased. Puzzling to me that there has been no follow up comment.

There has been. Today's TDN had news that basically said he was ok. Smith commented that his back end seemed off so he went ahead and pulled him up. I think Baffert said that he was fine the next day - or at least nothing obvious.

Shame. I thought he had real promise.
Thanks for the update. Much appreciated.
