Derby Preps and the GSV

San Felipe-G2:
Highest GSV horse, Consolidator at 72.07 wins, his dam is 71.27

Rebel Stakes-G3
3rd highest GSV horse, Greater Good at 62.93 wins, his dam is 63.94

Gotham Stakes-G3
Highest GSV horse, Survivalist at 80.41 wins, his dam is 78.53

Tampa Bay Derby-G3
Sun King at 62.61 wins, his dam is 66.79
*at least 3 horses in this race had higher GSV's

Not too shabby and a few more bucks in my pocket thanks to Consolidator and Survivalist flat bets, plus exactas as Giacomo's dam is 75.40.

At Gulfstream in Race 6,Meadow Slipper [GSV of 77.22] at 20-1 really helped my pick 4's and win 3's at Gulfstream when in Race 7 Personal Odyssey [highest GSV=69.40], then followed with a dead heat win in Race 8 by Choose [highest GSV=68.99] and followed by a win in Race 9 by Yankee Penny [2nd highest GSV at 70.88] who soundly beat Capitulation [highest GSV at 72.45] who paid $21.00 to place in the race and an exacta of only $29.80.

The roll ended though when Cape Hope won with a GSV of only 68.55 with Dynamite Lass 2nd at 73.32 in the 10th.

Winneratthewindow with a GSV of 69.96 and highest in the field in the 11th race won, but only paid me $5.00. My Amandari won the 12th race with a GSV of 69.36 paying only $10.00, but did not bet him as he was only the 3rd highest GSV in the race, but at least I left him in the doubles

Betting note:
I try to include heavy favorites in my betting even though they do not have high GSV scores figuring somebody must know something. When the heavy favorite has the highest GSV I use it as a key figuring we all know something.

Nice work... Good to see Shug win a race, actually (3). Miners game is a full to Seeking the Gold. Survivialist has the pedigree to be special. I wonder why Shug is on the fence about him being able to run 10f?

good question freddy, I did ok on this horse this weekend, but Shug has not been great getting his young ones going in the last 3 years. this also coincides with Shug stopping drinking 3 years ago. Not sure if this means anything at all. Maybe have to see what's going on with Buzz, because he trains all these anyway.
