Why not run in the Mile? He's got Obviously to deal with, and whomever else wants to take him on. I can't stand the argument, who did he beat...he's beating the best of his division. There's no hidden horse out there running at a mile that he hasn't beaten (other than some of the Euros). HE is the best.
Why would they take him to the Turf, when he's better at a Mile? Or the Classic? That would be like sending out Reneesgotzip to run in the Distaff...right? Are we asking if Game On Dude should run in the Mile instead of the Classic?
Wilf, I agree. He is without a doubt one of the best runners in the past 30 years. He was just so good yesterday.

Regarding the Mile, he certainly owned that last year and has proved dominance at that distance, setting records and all. He has run very well on the dirt as well, and at longer distances (mile and an eighth) and he could be very competitive in the Classic. There's a reason why the Classic 's the biggest purse on BC day. So many of the great ones were not one dimensional - but won at varying distances on turf and dirt. i.e. Secretariat Dr. Fager sizzled in the Vosburgh sprint, set a world record for the mile, and cleaned up in the Brooklyn Handicap at a mile and a half.
A win in the BC Classic would put him in the highest echelons in my opinion.
