new maryland claiming rule repealed

I just heard that the new Maryland claiming rule that gives the new owner the right to decline a claim if a horse is vanned off has been repealed because trainers complained. shame on Maryland; I really thought we are better than that.

Disappointing I agree but several jurisdictions give back about 50% of the claim money if the horse is irretrievably broke down.
