The Kentucky bred English champion was one fast son of a gun. I'll never forget the year he had the BC sprint locked up, till he jumped a shadow that covered the track near the finish line. That was a terrible year (1990) for the BC and racing in general. We lost too many good race horses that day in tragedy marred races....Go For Wand, Mr. Nickerson and Shaker Knit. Below is the BC sprint in which Mr. Nickerson and Shaker Knit also competed but never finished. TJ
