I think he's nicely priced. Definitely a tough horse, even if lightly raced at 2 and 3, winning G1s from 8 to 10 furlongs.
There are only 4 Flatter sons listed as standing in the USA, and he is definitely the best one.
The dam side has produced runners (his half brother made a whopping 117 starts- vanned off the last race).
I would like to hear what Flat Out looks like in person. Flatter looks like a heavier bodied, less stretchy version of Mr Prospector.

Hi Cree,
I agree...Flat Out should become a nice sire. Here are some picks that can give you a good idea of his appearance....he's a good looking dude. I hope this giant link will get you to his pics:>) TJ

Seems like a really good price for a multiple gr 1 winner accomplished on dirt at mile and route distances, plus he was tough and sound. He had a career high 117 beyer and went a mile in 1:32 and change in one of his graded stakes. Then add on that he beat the top horses of his day plus there is little to not like in his pedigree. His dam was an old mare out of older mares so there's a lot of names in his damside pedigree you don't see up close these days, like Double Jay. Kind of interesting. And if you are breeding to sell, the established trainers have all had to face this guy in graded stakes too many times to forget all the times he beat their horses. I think they'll steer their clients to his foals if they look the part. He seems like a great package.

Hi Cree,
Here is a visual look of many of the new 2014 sires, I thought you would like to browse through them. Not the best pictures to base an opinion on, but it's better then nothing:>) TJ

I'm excited to see how these stallions do: Animal Kingdom, Data Link, Flat Out, Fort Larned, Point of Entry, and Jimmy Creed
Hi Cree,
I agree, a very interesting new crop. I was surprised to see some of the horses entering stud this year that I never even heard about. TJ
Big fan of Flat Out. I hope he gets a lot of support. That fast mile time should get him plenty of attention. From what I remember, the Japanese have demonstrated interest in other members of his family (as they did for Flower Alley) so they might make a play for him at some point. It wasn't a shock that I'll Have Another went to Japan based on how they'd been buying into that female family.
Point of Entry has so much going for him. He and Americain are probably the best shot for Dynaformer to finally get an heir to his legacy. It's conceivable the male line won't be passed on for long if they don't step up. I think Animal Kingdom will do well, and if he doesn't, I bet Darley punts him to Darley Japan so fingers crossed. They still may send him over at some point a la Street Sense.
