Ruffian Stakes?

Is now a Grade 2? Did I miss when it got downgraded?

Hi Cree,
As with many of our one time top races, NYRA downgraded the Ruffian Handicap in 2013 after they dropped it back in distance to 1 mile and scheduled it to be run at Aqueduct rather than Belmont Park and a recent short run at Saratoga. It has been re-scheduled again this season, to be run Sunday at Belmont Park at 1 mile and keeps the GR II rating. TJ
