Churchill Race 8 today, or 9

As I was enjoying a marg at the mexican joint this afternoon, watching HRTV, I was curious about the 1 horse in race 8 at Pimlico, a 6/5 favorite by the name of Devils Peak. Jock gets off, horse goes back to indoor saddling area, gets resaddled, gets new jock, new jock takes him around, gets off, horse goes back to saddling area, then gets scratched. Just thought it was odd that he would get a jocky change, then even new jock gets off and THEN the horse gets scratched. Anyone know what that was about? And at Churchill, I think it was race 8 or 9 the 7 horse pulled up badly, hope he/she is okay Didnt look good
