Vrey good read, thanks. I am a bit confused, though; the article seems to imply that Vice Regent sired Captain Steve and Victory Gallop when in fact he was the damsire of those horses. Perhaps I am missing something.
So Run for the Roses, as fast as you can.....
Re: Will Frosted Get Warm Heading Into The 2015 Kentucky der
These were the fractionals of the Remsen:
24.51 (1/4 mile)
48.91 (1/2 mile)
1:13.14 (3/4 mile)
1:37.71 (1-mile)
1:51.06 (1-1/8 mile)
I am pondering on whether this race was a good barometer for him, or not.
Here are some pros and cons. On one hand, the fractionals were modest
for Frosted to take advantage of, and he didn’t do it. Then he was racing
within a close stalking distance, but he was a little tardy with his move
in spite of these processional fractionals. It is true that he was racing a bit wide on lanes
3 or 4, but it is also true that at the final 100 yards he didn’t overdrive as
really-really expected. Right now, I am not discarding he may improve from his
Remsen effort because he still looks a little bit green, but he has a long way to go
to challenge this specially impressive crop of 2012. Only time will tell!
