A properly fitted bra does not cut off the circulation, any more than properly fitted shoes or properly fitted underwear. An ill-fitting bra is uncomfortable, like ill-fitting shoes, but it in no way will cause random, uncontrollable mutations in the DNA that are cancer and tumors.

My herbal doctor Richard Shulze who runs the natural school of healing has teaches that the bra cuts off circulation and causes cancer.
Dr. Schulze has the women that have cancerous breast tumors use Red Clover Blossoms and Chapparel to remove the tumors naturally with great success.

I, as a woman, am not suprised to hear that a male doctor is spouting this rubbish.
I posess a pair of (very large) female breasts, and as such I have used all kinds of support ranging from a simple shelf bra of cotton fabric to very structured, steel-boned corsetry. I can personally assure you that I have never, ever worn a brassiere that cuts off circulation in the breasts, that going without a brassiere is supremely uncomfortable and often painful, and that most brassieres are designed to be fitted--in the sense that tighty whities are fitted--without being tight. Neither have I found any brassieres in your typical department store that will cause circulation problems in the breasts, lymph glands under the arm, the chest wall, or the back. I suspect that most of my sisters on this board will agree with me.
The only brassieres I can know of that restrict circulation in the breasts do so with that specific intent, and are generally found in shops catering to a particular clientele (la vice anglaise).
Diet and heredity are FAR more likely culprits to breast cancer than a brassiere.
There may be a grain of truth in this, but not because of mucous production. Commercial, non-organic dairy products often come from cows who have been fed hormone supplements or medications that form estrogen-like compounds as they are processed by the cow. It is not known if this affects the human body.
I have great respect for plants as healers, and frequently use herbal medicines. Many of them are, in my opinion, easy on the body and certainly far less expensive than over-the-counter prescriptions. I do NOT, however, have any respect for pseudoscience and well-intentioned misinformation.

Dr. Shulze is a natural healer and when he made his statement about bras cutting off the circulation to the lymph glands and causing breast cancer, he must have been in the days before the new high tech style of bras.
I will phone 1-800 HERB DOC and talk to the doc about the new style hi tech bras that they dont cut off the circulation, as this is bad press for the doc and his natural school of healing.

Louis, I think your advisor is quite right about this one... I'd heard about the connection (bras and cancer) a few years ago.
The connection has to do with the constricting effect of bras on the breasts' lymphatic system. Here are some links:

Thanks Hurley for your 2 great case history sites. If women want to wear their bras many hours in the day, they can do deep breathing excerises and inhale through your nose and exale through your mouth with your arms raised up vertical to your shoulders as this raises your lungs.
If you dont like the breathing exercises walk as both excerises clean and move old lymph fluids out of your lymph glands.
