Trainer Anthony Carlton told me this AM that his farrier Wes Champagne is using a new hi tech x-ray picture to show where the problem area in the foot is.
When the farrier looks at the picture he can see where the problem in the foot is and can shoe TB around the problem area so the TB dosent go lame from the old way of just shoeing the TB without seeing the picture.
This is a great new technology for the farriers, as the TB will benefit from this new inovation.

Who is taking the X-Ray's? My friend is an X-Ray technician and is always alarmed that people who do X-Rays on horses aren't using protective clothing. Those little X-Ray machines apparently scatter X-Rays all over the area, not just toward the target body part.
Remember the last time you had something X-Rayed in the doctors office? I do, and they covered my body with a lead blanket and the technician left the room to pull the trigger.

Their is a medical hospital on the Santa Anita backstretch, this hospital employees professional workers that have been on the job for years.
When a TB breaksdown in the morn or afternoon Santa Anita has a van that can lower its floor to the ground and the injured TB doesnt have to put out an effort to get into the van.
The money for the medical hospital and van were donated by industry members. For those who made this possible I thank you, and all our TB thank you.
