Pac Classic: Borrego pulls it off, Lava Man and Musique hurt

Very exciting race (though I'm bummed for my beloved Island Fashion. She tried so hard only to finish 9th! )

Borrego just edged out Perfect Drift at the wire, Lava Man 3rd. Lava Man was quickly unsaddled on the track, but did not appear seriously hurt. The track vet told the media crew that LM had a problem "with the right front," no details. Musique Toujours was also pulled up at the end with a left front tendon issue, but did not sound like it was life-threatening...

Good thoughts for these two guys, and congrats to Borrego's connections!

At the end of every race meet the track becomes hard and many injuries occur. I hope those two TB are not seriously injured.

When I walk down the shedrow of Beau Grilly I notice how many royally bred TB he has. Well finally one of his TB won the Classic, maybe this will break the ice and BG will catch fire.

I am glad to see Borrego win. I was disappointed to see Kitten's Joy run second last week but Powerscourt the horse that beat Kitten's Joy is by my mare's grandsire Sadlers Wells. Congrats Borrego. My mare is by El Prado. El Prado is a great sire from the family of Notebook and Drone and being by the legendary Sadlers Wells. He has been a top sire for the last couple of years considering he has not got the best of mares like a Storm Cat, A.P. Indy, Fusaichi Pegasus, or Giant's Causeway.
