ROCK HARD TEN COMEBACK

Postby louis finochio » Mon Aug 22, 2005 1:47 pm

RHT trained by Richard Mandella worked 6 fur. at DM in 1:12:20 on 8/22/05 that was the fastest work for that distance.

RHT is going to be pointed for the Goodwood Handicap at Oak Tree SA meet, in October.

hi louis finochio

Rock Hard Ten is certainly a very nice horse...but I've never really sensed him to be a genuine TOP horse.

Maybe he'll come out and prove to be a Monster Older-Horse...but I won't believe it until I see it. With Roses in May and Ghostzapper finished and Afleet Alex aside etc etc etc RHT might have a leg up to strut his stuff with limited quality competition...but he'll have to show me something more than I've seen thus far...I'm not a believer.

hi fos,
sentimental agreement for the number of his inbreeding tohail does not sit's to well with myself.
also as far as i'am concerned, this is only me,
the center is missing very badly, 2 speed 2 stamina.
nothing in the dominate classical to show .
so let's hope he will go on healthy.....

Roman Ruler and RHT have come back when all the rising stars have fallen from the sky.

You wrote "Roman Ruler and RHT have come back when all the rising stars have fallen from the sky."

Reminds me of the expression...'better lucky than smart.'

Rock Hard Ten is an extremely impressive animal in the flesh. I did not see him in person last year, but since he has been with Mandella he is unbeaten in top company, and he looks a picture. Anything that big is a danger to himself, but this horse looks like the real deal right now.

When I first saw RHT, I was impresed by his conformation and that special class look. RHT is blessed with his ability and mordant=will to win.

He is a fighter and survivor, I wish him all the best in his return to racing.

He most certainly is - and he knows it too, and annouced it to the paddock when I saw him at Santa Anita. Glad to hear he's back! He has been a crowd pleaser even if not a superstar and my husband loves him.

I've seen a 17.3 hand filly (and she's only three!) who is so big her nose bangs the front of the gate when she's loaded. Makes you appreciate the challenges RHT faced and why he might have gate trouble early on. Supersized ain't always so great, not just in the soundness department.
