Folklore vs. Adieu?

Postby Heidilady » Sat Oct 08, 2005 8:21 pm

Thoughts on the match up in the BC Juvenile Fillies? People seem to think because Adieu has the 2-1 edge in meetings, she's the one to beat but not sure that Folklore isn't becoming a stronger filly than she was since last facing Adieu the farther she progresses in distance and in her 2yo season.

What's everybody's estimations of these two talented fillies? Are there any fillies we're not focusing on that we ought to be?

Ok I know I seem like a loser having 3 posts under my own thread but for pete's sake doesn't anybody have an opinion on these two fillies?

hello Heidilady

Both Adieu and Folklore seem to be very special fillies...but She Says It Best made short order of the field in the $400,000 G2-Alcibiades (at Keeneland going 1 1/16 miles) winning easily in WIRE-TO-WIRE fashion.

She Says It Best was bright-eyed and appeared to glisten in the post parade...looked like a million bucks...and seemed to have plenty left as she crossed under the wire.

She could just be coming into herself...and might be ready to step up to the highest level.

I agree with FOS, at this age in their lives any filly could pretty-much stand-up from nowhere and whop both Aideu and Folklore (remember the BC Juvie in '04? Announcers asking, "Who the Hell is Wilko?!?" and making the false assumption, "All these American juveniles must really suck if this no-name European could beat them!" Announcers are so funny ;) )
Between Aideu and Folklore, I think Folklore is getting stronger and could give Aideu a challenge. But I wouldn't be shocked if Filly X appears from the clouds and kicks their behinds  (Announcers: "Who the Hell is Filly X?!? These American fillies must really suck...")
