Limehouse in the BC Mile?

Postby StrawberryFelidos » Mon Oct 10, 2005 1:21 pm

So, according to BloodHorse, Limehouse is being pointed to the BC Mile on turf.
Any thoughts on this one? Seems bizarre to me, considering that he finished fifth in his first-ever turf race not too long ago, plus considering all of the tough European horses (who run really really well on grass ) are coming over to run in it. Considering that, finishing fifth to Americans doesn't seem like a ticket-puncher to me.

Hey, our horse doesn't like distance, so let's toss him on the turf and run him on the mile! Hope he learns to like turf!

Pletcher did the same with Balto Star a few years back. First tried him in the Mile, then a couple years in the Turf Classic. Probably from the D. Wayne Lukas philosophy of " you can't win if you don't run".
