See now this is how owners are supposed to treat horses. They never injected his joints and he started showing signs he wasn't 100% at age 9, he got retirement to a happy home. Impressive that he's raced that long and that consistently. If only A Huevo'd had somebody looking out for him like that. I'm just hoping Hoovergetthekeys gets his very own pasture asap but hey, I'm sure they know what they're doing

Well, now, that's good. I remember when Continental Red won (or was it placed in?) a graded stakes a few years back and looked gorgeous doing it, I watched him a bit after that and I don't think he won anything much after that, but he was always entered in the big California races. It was getting kinda sad hearing that he was finishing in the back evey race, so I'm glad they decided to retire him to the "easy life" :)

When CR was being walked around the stable area, his trainer told me to see what I thought about CR legs.

I said that CR had legs of steel, not a pimple on them. CR has only 6 crosses of (Phalaris) within his 5 generation pedigree.

May CR enjoy his retirement and days in the warm Calif. sun, Goodbye CR and thanks for the memories.
