Stormfest

Did anyone see what happened to Stormfest in the sixth today at Santa Anita? The chart said he broke down. Any updates? A beautifully bred Giant's Causeway making only his third start with a lot of time in between starts. Lukas has him.

Before the rain storm arrives the tracks steam roller is run around the dirt oval and squeezes all the water out of the surface. This makes the bottom of the track like cement and the TB have to run over a track that is hard as a rock.

When this happens you can expect many breakdowns and injuries. Thats why Baffert was thinking about scratching Pussycat Doll on Saturday, as his filly is golden and Baf didnt want to see her injured.

Stormfest had 12 crosses of (Phalaris) and only 4 outcross sire lines in her 5 generation pedigree. When you see these injuries surface many times it is time to install the poly track and save our TB.
Those without sin cast the first stone.
