Louis: Fullmoon Madness

Postby Swaps1955 » Sun Jan 15, 2006 10:26 am

Hi, Louis,

You may have noticed that 11 year old Fullmoon Madness got claimed Saturday for $16,000 from Jack Carava. New trainer is Los Alamitos based Chris O'Dell (trainer of Catchmeinyourdreams) and new owner is Lamonte Isom. Do you know anything about them? I am very concerned about the gallant old boy and what his future might hold!

Thanks,

Wendy

Hi Wendy,

I went down to the paddock to see Full Moon Madness yesterday, and he looked great. What an old pro he is! When I lifted up my camera to take his picture, he seemed to notice this, and turned his head in my direction - as if to say, "Ho hum, another fan - guess I'd better give her my best profile." He then proceeded to walk off to the track. It was SO funny that I laughed out loud - standing there in the rain! Hope Louis can give us some more info on the people who claimed him. And I hope they care enough about FMM to give him a nice retirement. He's certainly more than earned it!

I have many friends that have raced at Los Al, I will ask them what class of trainer Chris O" Dell is. I hope FMM groom gives him plenty of TLC.

I asked trainer Jack C. about the trainer that claimed FMM and Jack said his new trainer is a very good trainer and will give FMM a good home.

FMM will continue to race for his new trainer.

Thanks, Louis. Hope things continue to go well for FMM. He deserves a life of leisure when people are finished making money off of him. It was a real joy to watch him in the saddling paddock. What a consummate professional. Keep us posted if you hear anything.
