Achilles of Troy trainer

Postby fdf » Sun Mar 12, 2006 9:17 am

I haven't read anywhere but it looks like Jennifer Pedersen is not the trainer of (okay I will play along like everyone else here and put the initials of the horse) AOT. Looks like her top assistant Frank Amonte Jr. is now the trainer. Is she stepping back for health reasons?

From everything I have read sounds more like a bad divorce . . . . .

Hi folks,

Ernie Paragallo is his own man, like him or not. He's real opinionated and I believe that he always felt shunned by the racing mainstream after some startling success with Unbridled's Song and Artax. He's claimed that he's getting out of racing, then been back in and of course that's his decision. He's at the barn every day.

I like Jennifer Pedersen. She's affable and from what I know it must have been difficult to work with any owner that was always on site but especially one who feels that he knows how things ought to be done.

To their credit, they teamed up for several years. Good luck to both of them.

Regards,

Pete

You could see this coming. Jennifer seemed very unhappy these last few days even with the victories. Ernie is a very tough guy to train for. He basically calls all the shots. I Think it would he should get a license and train for himself. As you say he's at the track every morning and he oversees everything. It's really tough to train for him unless you are a "YES" person. Always and goes with that the boss says. Can you imagine Allen Jerkens training for this guy. Frankie seems to be a right fit for him.
