Expensive babies

I remember getting on a horse named "Pargata King" If I'm not mistaken, I think he was bought as a yearling for a few mil. He was the prettiest thing on the track, but he couldn't "out run the fat man" he was sooo slooow! not sure if he ever ran!

Bought for $1,700,000 by Fusao Sekiguchi in 1996.
Bought for $32,000 by Dapple Bloodstock in 1999. (Keeneland)
Name released by JC 2003.

If his name was released, does that mean he died?
I remember him, he was on the cover of the BH the year he sold as a yearling.

I would guess by who Dapple Bloodstock is that he was sold to another country for stud purposes. I emailed them and asked that question. Got an auto-answer thanking me for email and that someone would get back to me. Will post answer when I receive.
