Sunday's replays on TVG showned a race with Sir Ray in it.
I laughed for 30 min. after that show.
Sir Ray was leading an in the turn went to the far rail an ran two more turns on the far rail an he was in last place.
You guess it, Sir Ray passed them all again an won.
I wish I'd taped that race.

OK, so I did a little research. (Isn't the internet great?) Here's the story from DRF on the race:
Sir Ray puts on a show winning Calder stakes

Sir Ray wins the $50,000 Maryland My Maryland Stakes at Calder on Saturday.
By MIKE WELSCH
MIAMI - Sir Ray turned Saturday's inaugural running of Calder's $50,000 Maryland My Maryland Stakes into a memorable event.
Sir Ray bolted around the clubhouse turn of the 1 3/16-mile stakes, dropped to the rear of the eight-horse field and raced up against the outside fence for nearly the entire length of the backstretch. He reasserted himself approaching the second turn, overtook Perspicacious in early stretch, then edged away to an amazing 2 1/2-length victory.
Jockey Manoel Cruz, who had to call off an outrider when it appeared he was about to be pulled up in the run down the backstretch, put up the courageous ride aboard the winner for trainer Bill White.
Sir Ray returned $6.20 after negotiating 1 3/16 miles in 2:04.12 over a fast but very cuppy racetrack.
"He's got a very sensitive mouth, and if the bit shifts into the wrong spot he really resents it," White explained. "When he bolted around the first turn and was up against the outside fence down the backstretch, I was just waiting for him to be pulled up. But I guess Manoel still felt comfortable with him, because he yelled at the outrider to leave him alone, allowed the horse to gallop along for a while, and somehow was able to get back into the race. In 20 years of training I've never seen anything like it."
Cruz said he never lost confidence in Sir Ray despite the unconventional trip.
"When we were going around the first turn on the outside fence, I was confident I could get back in the race," said Cruz. "The outrider was going to try and pick me up on the backside, but even then I felt like we were still in it. When we reached the three-eighths pole he straightened out and re-broke."

Also, even though this race was run in Florida, calracing.com has the replay. The replays at calracing.com are free, but you have to register first. Once in the replay section, you can find the race by searching by horse. However, calracing only shows the last ten races of any horse, and Sir Ray has run more than ten races since that one. However, you can find the race if you search for the horse that finished second--Perspicacious.
Check it out. It is a pretty amazing race.

Funniest race I ever saw was won by a filly named Queen of Rein. She must have had Whirlaway somewhere in her family tree...the only thing she wanted was the outside rail! She fought and fought and fought her jockey all the way around the final turn and he finally just gave up. Queen promptly shot to the outside rail, then to the lead, and then to the wire. Fair enough, right? Well, because this was her maiden win and she showed such dramatically improved form over her previous run, there was a stewards inquiry. The trainer shrugged his shoulders and looked at the jock. The jock shrugged and looked at the stewards. The stewards reminded the trainer on the rules of in-and-out running, and adivsed the trainer to keep this filly to the outside rail in future races.
This one also has to be right up there. Good ol' Hoof Hearted!

LMAO yes yes I remember it well. I had looked on you tube before but never found it so thanks. Definite classic
The thing is, that announcer never tried to even hide it. I'm gonna try a pronunciation key of my own invention here to explain. You know the vowel sound in the word "put"? Well that's what we're supposed to here in "hoof" right? Well it became "Who" f-hearted...he wasn't even trying to make the first word sound like hoof. Shameless
