Mister Triester in?

Postby Heidilady » Sun Apr 23, 2006 4:39 pm

Ok so working of this list, and knowing that Like Now is out, I guess Mister Triester is in (I'm assuming they still wanna run? what's the plan?):

On the bubble now: Flashy Bull, then Sunriver. Not sure how 2 are gonna drop out though I can easily think of 2 that probably should. And no I'm not gonna name names. It just makes people mad even though they know entering said horses is illogical. I don't care if they win as a longshot. When their very entries are illogical, thus the definition of fluke is born. I don't like flukes.

Mister Triester is going to the Trial, not the Derby. Like Now's connections sound like they are skipping.

So, according to the list on the posted link, Flashy Bull should be in? That list doesn't take Superfly into consideration.
Horses I'd like to see drop so that Flashy Bull and Sunriver can get in:

Bluegrass Cat (that last race, ahem, sucked)

Deputy Glitters (see above)

Storm Treasure (I know little about him, except that before his distant 2nd place finish in the Bluegrass his past performances were unimpressive)

Seaside Retreat (I know nothing about him, except that he lost to With a City, God rest his furry soul. Pardon disrespect to the dead, but that does not inspire any confidance in me at all)

Why Flashy Bull and Sunriver?
Flashy Bull is the list's horse, damnit
Flashy Bull is generally consistant (except for his last race, which, as I remember, su- well, you know).
Sunriver has an awesome pedigree (can you imagine how much stud farms could charge for a Derby-winning full brother to dual champion Ashado? What about a champion 3yo Derby winning full brother?)
And did I mention: Flashy Bull's cute, damnit. Bluegrass Cat is not gray. That is why I want to see 'em switch.
So, those are my excellent reasons as to why I want some horses to drop so that others can get in.

I don't think that list is correct. I'm pretty sure Derek does not have a million in graded earnings. That looks like total earnings.

Never mind ... yeah, that list is right.

Oh, yes, he does. He's hardly run in anything BUT graded stakes. The SA Derby was worth a lot and don't forget he picked up a check in the $1.5million BC Juvenile.

Superfly is now #21 on the list, followed by Mister Triester, Flashy Bull, and Sunriver.

I really hope they rethink running Keyed Entry. But, alas, they won't.

How many of the listed horses are NOT stakes winners? I know that Sunriver and Point Determined are not. Who else?
