Can Sun River make it to the Derby if there are enough dropouts or does he not have enough GS earnings to qualify?

If you believe there is going to be a full gate of 20, he's going to need 3 defections to get in.

There's no floor on the amount of graded stakes earnings needed. He just has to be in the top 20 to get in. So as Sam pointed out, he'll need a couple more above him to defect.
