Mellanie came home with a throat infection which the vet found after scoping her. Our trainer was dissappointed by beiing last in Baden-Baden
A very long trip from the west of the Netherlands
So maybe further in the year we will keep a renewal with pf members, hopefully to be seen a peak fit filly.

Racing is often more straight than we think, so her performance at Baden-Baden was not in correspondance with her 4th place at Cologne - there must have been something wrong with her at Baden-Baden.

Btw.: Almerita, who beat Mellanie 6 lengths at Cologne, won the German Oaks last Sunday in a very close race (neck - 1 1/4 - several 1/2 lengths between the following horses).
