Two racing this weekend

Postby emmad » Tue Mar 20, 2007 12:41 pm

Kenadaad and Mr Fleck will both be racing at Tauranga this weekend.

Mr Fleck should go a good race. Has been shod by a better farrier and it has made the world of difference.

Kenadaad is racing in a Group Two race.

Will update when can with results.

I hope Kenadaad's owners have a wild and fun ride ahead of them. Sometimes the horses don't know they are out-classed. :P

Oh we would love to be proved wrong lol.

I'm keeping my fingers and toes crossed we get alot of rain hehe. While it won't help Flecks chances (though I suspect now he's older he'll cope better) but will definately bring Ken right in it.
And he's carrying 52.5kg with top weight at 59.5 :D

Mr Fleck won :) Slow coming out the gates so back early. Jockey had been told to keep him handy and that he needed to be in first 3-4 by the final turn. After the slow beginning he let him settle and get round the first bend then eased him forward down the back straight. Moved up again on the bend till as they turned for home he was in front :) And he stayed there lol.
Fought well to keep the win by half a length. Paid $20 and $4.80 I think.

Ken ran as expected without the rain and only beat one home. Did dip on starting but they went too fast early for him and he needed the rain that never came.

Ken is having 4 days in a nice grassy paddock was a bit of a tired horse yesterday.

He'll do well once the rains come.
