My Boys May be Racing Sunday

Postby henthorn » Thu May 12, 2005 7:26 pm

I won't be at the computer for further updates until maybe Monday, but both my geldings are entering for races at Lone Star for Sunday the 15th. They enter tomorrow.

Keep your eyes open for Church Law (5yo Cal-bred by Newton's Law) in a $10,000 claiming race, 6 furlongs dirt, for 3 and ups that have never won two races lifetime. He won at Sam Houston on April 2nd at $10K Mdn Cl.

Remote Control (4yo OK-bred by Alphabet Soup) enters an allowance for 3 and 4 yo's, nonwinners of three lifetime, at one mile turf. This is his first race after six months layoff. He has won an allowance at 1 1/16 turf last fall at Remington Park.

I'll be in Lexington visiting stallions and my mares and foals, and I'll post pictures on my return. Hopefully Spanish Guitar will deliver :D before I return home. She was due the 9th.

Have luck on each travel, for the horses in the races, and for you on the planned visit to the breeding stock. Come home safe and sound, and wishing all the very best.

Henthorn i see where Chuch law has a new trainer-maybe a change of scenery might do the trick but i thought he ran a very good race in the A other than Allowance.

Well, the boys were disappointing. Church bled in his previous race, but seemed to be coming around okay. He split the field at sixth place, but cooled out okay. Hopefully he's getting his confidence built up and will perform well next time. I brought him over to Clinton Stuart's barn to join my other boy. No sense having two trainers at the same track.

Allowance company at a tough track wasn't to Remote's liking, especially after the long layoff. He got a wide trip and pooped out to finish last. Next time we'll go with 25K NW3L and he'll be ready.

I've posted pictures of my two foals in the GENERAL DISCUSSION forum. Spanish Guitar is still waiting for her Silver Ghost foal. Had a good trip to Lexington, and I'll post some stallion observations when I get my sleep caught up.
