Coquinerie in today--
We decided to freshen her up and make her get use to firing that turn of foot a little earlier than she's been doing in the stakes so we put her in a mile AOC on the turf in race 4 at Calder. The distance will probably be a little short for her but we're trying something new. She'll be back in stakes company again, God willing next out.

Well she came in 3rd-- right about where we thought she would. As I said before, this was just a race we wanted her to get under her belt-- shorten her up to get her use to using that great turn of foot she has earlier than she naturally gives it. Her earnings are now over 100k... not bad for a 6k yearling purchase. She'll probably head for a small stakes next out to add more blacktype.
