Fantasmin (ARG)

Postby Playwithfire » Sat Oct 15, 2005 6:41 pm

I am in my first partnership owning race horses and my horse Fantasmin was in the 4th at Oak Tree today, a 6.5F Turf race down the hill, $50k claimer. He broke well, led thru 5F, but didn't like the dirt interchange at SA. Kind of jumped the dirt and lost momentum. Finished 4th, but 1/2 length from second. Would not have won, but a 2nd would have been nice. Oh well, it was so much fun watching him on TVG, but I was so nervous that he wouldn't do well. Very encouraging that he can get 43 4/5, since this was his first race in a year, and he only raced in Argentina before, so we didn't really know how he'd run. Anyway, it sure is fun.

Congrats on the horse. Looks like he will be a winner soon.

It sounds very good, so give him time to new racing circuits, he will learn from it.
The fun will come maybe sooner maybe later.

Seems like a lot of horses need a run on that track to get used to it. Fantasmin is a powerful-looking horse who, from what's posted in the database, seems lightly raced. but has proven he can win.

Have fun with him!
