YEEHAW Broke her maiden!

Postby toadie » Mon Jan 30, 2006 10:23 am

Our filly, Crafty Grey, broke her maiden at Sam Houston last night. MSW @1m70 . Unfortunately I was driving back from FL and didn't get to go. Hmmmm ....every time she's come in the money, I've not been there. Do ya think I'm bad luck  :? :?

Way to go Toadie! Maybe go to the races and don't let any of your connections know you are there. Hahahahaha.

I used to think that the only time my horses won was when the track couldn't use my individual silks and had to go with borrowed silks or standard track silks. It seemed I had several winner's circle pictures in a row that did not include my own silks.

But I'm happy the horse wins whether I'm there or not, or even if the jockey was naked  .

That depends a little bit on whom is naked, female or male.

Our silks have not been weared in German races, i asked the trainer about it. Maybe one day it will happen.
We are looking for a suitable race to start, but up till now we have frosty wheater. It ,s a little bit difficult finding a suitable race for Mellanie Surprise a condition race, like for horses who have not more than a certain amount.
Taken her to France for a suitable claimer, is not out goal.
With 3 wins on her belly. Espially we don,t like to start her in LR
first time out. She has not gained weight over the winter but grew a little bit an inch or so. and she will be race fit in just a couple of workouts

yes, one of the drawbacks of a partnership-I didn't get to have silks made. Luckily the trainer's color is blue, which is my favorite, so I don't mind that we just use his.
