Well, the BC race wasn't exactly his first time going "the wrong way" as he broke his maiden going the wrong way, but I do agree that Eltish probably doesn't get as much credit as he deserves.

I own a mare named ' famous woman' - she raced in california - santa anita, del mar & hollywood park

she also ran in maryland and at suffolk downs

I got her from mike gill as he disposed of her via the killer truck

she ran her last race in august of 2005 at suffolk

Now why am I not surprised at Michael Gill sending horses to a kill pen?

Talk about a guy who was always no good for racing...

His all time best was paying someone to saw the leg off of one of his dead horses shortly after it broke down in a race.

Thankfully he announced years ago that he was leaving racing, and lets hope that he finally has!


PS - her last race was actually June 27, 2005 at Suffolk Downs.

I am looking for winning photo's from Walloping Wolla (1987 Model) Spot the Money (89 model) & Stacys Girl (85 Model). We lost all of our winning photos in a house fire and havent been able to find a way to get them back since. Any help would be appreciated!

We are hopeing to get a track record and photo of a dark bay TB gelding named CompelledToGambol out of Compeeling Sound and Sweet and Fleet. He was foaled in April of 1997, breeder Marcia Wolfe.
All I know about his race record was he raced at Penn National in 2001 and one race recorded on paper of 7-24-02. His jockey in 2001 was C. Nieto. Any information would be greatly appreciated.

I have an odd feeling that this won't help either of you. The first person would have already exhausted the avenues to getting old photos from that track in the south. The second person already knows the data he/she needs in order to get an old picture.

These would be the owners and the trainer being Terran Menard for all. Thanks for the information, its not good to hear that pictures are not easy to come by from EVD.

Where did you hear that?

Certainly not here.

But it makes sense that you would have already hunted high and low for replacement pictures from that track long before posting here.

At any rate, at least you have the dates all in one spot, even though it would make sense that someone in your circles had records of that data anyway, fire or no fire.

Another trick is to try the jockeys and trainers from those wins. Someone on one of these boards even got help from Jerry Bailey that way a year or two ago.

Anyone happen to know the EvD racetrack photographer from around 1989 to 1995 or the Delta Downs Photographer from 1991? I will try to contact the tracks for this info but was hoping someone already new.

Thank you Jimble Brimble for the info. I was able to contact the tracks and got excellent service this time around. I just recieved the race video's on DVD today!!! and I am just waiting for the arrival of the win pics.
