If you mean the 1988 version by Blue Ensign, the APR shows no auction results for him.
Any idea which sale he was supposed to have sold through? Perhaps he was withdrawn, or sold privately.

The 2004 version of Nueces River is a colt by Pure Prize out of Nueces Strip (by Halo). He is a half brother to stakes-placed Pure (who raced up at Hastings last year).
Nueces River sold for $200,000 at the '05 Keeneland January sale as a short yearling. He was consigned by Dromoland Farm, and bought by Cherokee Equine International.
He was then sold at the '06 Keeneland April 2-year-olds in training sale for $20,000. He was consigned by Niall Brennan Stables, and bought by Patrice Miller/EQB Inc.
