What ever happened to Le Prince?

In 1990, a 3 year old gray Seattle Slew - Satania, by Ruritania colt named Le Prince ran at Saratoga and won his first start by 12 lengths, running the fastest 7 furlongs of that meet. Off that win, his trainer, Dominick Imperio, was considering running him back in the Travers, but the horse disappeared - he never ran again and was never heard from again.
Was his win a Twilight Zone episode? Nobody remembers this horse and he seems to have vanished off the face of the Earth. Does anyone know whatever happened to this horse?
