I posted this question on another topic area, now I see this is where I should have asked
I did get a couple replies, I was just hoping maybe someone else would have or be able to find more for me. Duke of Venice, 2001 gelding by Theatrical. Came out of the thoroughbred training center in lexington sometime in May. his trainer listed in everything that I have looked up says Charles Black, no one at the office at the ttc has ever heard of him, and says he has no stalls there. Said he came up sore after last breeze and told this girl to come get him if she wanted him, but they would give her no more info on injury, or so she says. I drove 11 hours to look at him, etc, but didnt get him, then she lowered price, I got him. From the time I saw him till the time I had him shipped her, he had thrown all 4 shoes, lost a bunch of weight, all her horses beat the crap out of him, dead lame, just a totally different horse. he does have a very small old bow, but I dont think that was the issue, its so small, no heat, and now he isnt lame anywhere, just moves very ouchy, if you know what I mean. I think its just his awful feet, which are improving, and I actually rode him the other day, and he is turning into a very sweet, gentle boy from the monster he was 5 weeks ago
Just hoping someone knows something? I know I will have to just have a vet look at him to be sure what he can be used for, but he moved like a dream when I first saw him, so Im hoping its just the feet. I hope to rehab and have him looking for a new home in the next few months, if anyone will be interested I will post on the buy/sell page. Thanks for any help in finding info that will help me rehab Duke.
