Hi,
I am looking for any information (previous owners, history etc) on this Florida born and raced mare.
I rescued her in April. She was VERY thin and suffering from a nasty barb-wire injury to her left hock. Pleased and proud to say she is fattened up and her wound is almost completely healed. She is a beautiful mare and one of the loves of my life.
Thanks for any help you all can provide.
Michelle
I have her pedigree.

Karie,
hi and thanks for the info about her colt. I actually discovered that today.
Kipper Kelly (sire) evidently is well known in Ocala...I am just discovering that. i only know her breeder..Robert Dubois and the person I bought her from...
I haven't planned on breeding her, (my best friend wants to breed her to her Paint stud in a bad way..because of her size, conformation.. etc...) but because I don't have her papers only her tattoo, I don't want to add to the "grade" pool of horses out there...I am trying to find info and papers on her because she deserves that bit of respect after what has been done to this once very regal and fairly successful racehorse. She was a mess when i found her, I could not walk away...

Michelle,
You can get a replacement set of papers for her via the Jockey Club
http://www.thejockeyclub.com should you like to breed her in the future. The cost is $200 and you will have to take photos, a hair sample and give a statement as to why she is without papers. You really don't need her papers in order to register a TB foal, but they're nice to have in case you would like to sell her in the future. Of course, I'm guessing that's not going to happen

Congratulations on your new addition

Austique,
Thanks for that info! I have thought about selling that rascal a few times...in fact she is still on the internet...she is a handful..but bonded to me. She even nipped me today in the arm to prove her love...But let me ride her easily for an hour...
I will contact Jockey club...
Ciao..
Michelle

She raced her entire career for her breeder, Robert DuBois in Florida.
She won one of 31 starts and that came on August 8, 1997 at Calder Race Course.
Last race was Dec. 4, 1997.
Probably a long time since that owner/breeder had her.
