Is anybody overdue at this point????

Postby TB Dreamin' » Sun Apr 06, 2008 5:03 pm

Hey all-

I LOVE to see all the foal pics...thank you to all who take the time to post 'em-I need my "foal fix" every now and again!

...now, who has a mare that's overdue? Who is wavering w/sheer exhaustion and who (thru sheer delirium) has considered that awaiting a foal as the new olympic sport...really, I think it should be...it IS a test of wills.

I want to know how long members have waited for a foal. Did they ever think the last cover date was recorded in error? What did said mare do that made you think "this was the night" and then you got a whole lotta nada?

Make me laugh, people! I need some serious mare-overdue and by how many days, reports.

Well I don't have an overdue mare but I am wondering if you do? Do you have a couple to foal this year? :)

I got to laugh at my friends expense when she started putting milk in the cupboard (I do this anyway, hehe) and sleep talking when her maiden went nearly a month over

:D Hi Mood Swings-

Sheesh-I think writing that note was the "real McCoy." She was going on 11 days overdue (which I know is nothing) and had the baby, a super tall filly, on Mon., Apr. 7 at 2:30 a.m.!!!

We are such a small farm and do everything ourselves (like alot of folks here) and the night watch coupled w/the fact that I decided to go back to school, full time, made it a really "fun" time!!!

I called my daughter the dog's name and the dog, my daughter's name, and sat on my glasses, and mumbled many things no one could understand!

This is our first foal this year, the filly by Aptitude. And we have one more due at the end of May, by Offlee Wild. I bred another mare to Silver Wagon earlier and she is confirmed pregnant.

How are you doing?

Congrats! Where are the pics of your darling girl?

Don't fret about calling your daughter the dogs name and vice versa hehe I know people that do this and they don't have foal watch to blame it on

Congrats too on having one in foal already! I heard that Silver Wagon is gorgeous.

I am well thanks! I have one due at the end of the month, one little one on the ground and two mares confirmed in foal ( a Seeking The Best and a Peaks And Valleys) Yippee :)

I have one that was due the 4th.. She finally waxed 2 days ago, but I doubt it will be tonight.. Maybe tomorrow.. And my other mare is due in 2 week, but it fully waxed for 5 days now. She foals standing up, so I hope she doesn't wait too much longer.
I have had the last 4 days off from work, and go back to work tomorrow.. So I bet it will be tomorrow night, since I have to work until 11pm!

I did have one foal 3 days ago... tough delivery.. came out with 2 people pulling since the mare (captivate) quit pushing.. then he quit breathing.. and the farm manager brought him back to life! It was quite a night.. but He is a nice looking bay by Mull Of Kintyre. If I ever get the energy (mom had major surgery and I haven't been home since last saturday night) I will post the pictures.. I got home at 5pm and I cant even tell you where I might have put the camera.. and I think I took pictures, but am not sure.. lol Not sure of much these days..

oh.. and I do have one confirmed back in foal... Surprise Audit in foal to Perfect Circle (my Unbridled son)
