Lost our very last baby

Postby Bondama » Wed Oct 08, 2008 5:09 am

Last night, Diplomatic Pleasure had a stillborn filly. Red bag. <sigh> She was a deep golden palomino with 3 high whites and a sock on the 4th, blaze and snip. Stunning, stunning baby. We are very sad as this was the last foal we would have.

The mare is fine, physically, but not so sure emotionally.....understandably. She whickers for the baby and continues to lie in the spot where she had it, looking around and calling out.

It's just so sad.

My deepest sympathies. You've had a lousy year and I wish you nothing but the very best in the future. You've sure earned it!
